Haselton-Wright Park is a regional park located on Riverview Parkway North. It mainly serves the population from Rome and the surrounding communities.
Haselton-Wright Park features:
- Two lighted softball fields that shares a common outfield that serve men's, women's and co-ed adult softball leagues;
- A clubhouse with restrooms;
- A medium-sized playground along the Riverview Parkway entrance;
- Unpaved trails along Mohawk River; and
- A paved trail around the exterior of the softball fields.
The park is served by a large parking lot off of Riverview Parkway North with room for approximately 100 vehicles.
Currently the city's department of Parks, Recreation & Community Activities is developing a fund-raising program to renovate the softball field lights and to develop a concession stand within the existing clubhouse to serve the leagues and raise additional funds. For any information - or to help with the fund-raising - call the Recreation Dept. at (315) 339-7654 or e-mail Ryan Hickey, Recreation Specialist, at rhickey@romecitygov.com.
