The “Real Dreams” Basketball Camp, presented by RFA Head Girls Basketball Coach Julie Ramos, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, June 25 though Friday, June 29, at the RFA Stadium Support Facility.
The camp is designed for girls ages 9 to 17. Tuition is $150.
The Real Dreams Basketball Camp is designed to help each player, from the highly skilled to those who are just beginning. With the aid of an experienced staff, the Camp program has been carefully designed to develop individual skills, stimulate personal goals, and give each participant a unique and meaningful experience.
The ultimate aim of the Camp is to develop a well-rounded basketball player emphasizing discipline, floor presence and team concepts. Each player will receive individual attention designed to help correct and improve areas of weakness or inexperience.
Coach Ramos is the Camp Director and has over thirteen years of college coaching experience. Julie has coached at Hamilton College, Rochester Institute of Technology and The United States Military Academy at West Point (ARMY) and is the current Varsity Coach of the Rome Free Academy Lady Black Knights .
Teaching the fundamentals of how to play the game of basketball has always been the focus of Coach Ramos’s Philosophy. This camp is geared around teaching the fundamentals of basketball. There is very little scrimmaging at this camp. Instead the basics of Offense, Defense, Presses, Press Breaks and other useful information to the sport will be made available for players who want to improve their game.
Due to the large response, the camp is limiting enrollment to maintain the quality of camp instruction. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
